BioCote® has been a market leading antimicrobial additives provider for over 25 years. It keeps KARRICO products fresher and cleaner for longer, protecting your purchase against stainsand odors caused by microbes such as bacteria and mold.
Based on silver ions, BioCote® is proven to offer antimicrobial protection for the expected lifetime of the product. Introduced during the manufacturing process, BioCote® antimicrobial additives make products inhospitable to microbes such as bacteria and mold.
Through a combination of mechanisms, they irreversibly damage microbes, stop them reproducing and disrupt essential functions, like energy production, ultimately causing them to die.
BioCote® is ISO 9001 and 14001 registered, HACCPInternational certified and carries out independent antimicrobial testing to ensure that protected materials are performing to the non-negotiable standards of products carrying the BioCote® trademark. HACCP International has approved BioCote® antimicrobial technology as a suitable addition to food contact articles used in a HACCP based food safety programme. BioCote® does not supply additives that leach or actively leave the product they are protecting.
